Athens Little League: Concessions

    Parents,teams,volunteers! Hear ye, hear ye! The bell is now tolling and the annual call for concessions volunteers is underway. It is our duty,nay...our privilege to respond to this call and sign up for shifts in the concession stand. Rally your troops and make sure they are ready and armed to face this task before us. Never before has there been seen in the Athens Little League the number of hawngry folks lining up before us. We need you! This is an urgent and vital call to arms. If we feed them,we will win this battle but we cannot do it without you.

   Below is a link to the concession schedule or you may click the headline above. Please click and find some time when you are available to fill a slot. This year we have more teams and more people in the league than we have had in quite some time. With that comes this dire need to fill this schedule as quickly as possible. With the number of teams we have, there are more teams assigned to a given week. We ask that you take this schedule,find your assigned weeks and begin filling them now. Go to all of your parents on your team and get them signed up. If you do this,we will do the follow-ups and confirmations for you.

   Urgent need: Opening Day Help. No teams have been assigned to the stand on opening day. We are hoping that the volunteers will come forth on their own and get this fun-filled day completed. We know you're out there,just let us know who you are.

We truly appreciate the time and effort you put in and want you to know that concessions is also one of the main reasons we can keep our registration fees down. Who knows,you may get to see a jovial Charlie at the grill and strike up a conversation and watch a ball game at the same time. It's rewarding work because you get to help the league,keep kids smiling and watch baseball all at the same time.
