Fan from Kentucky
I want to personally thank everyone involved in the Greece Athena basketball program. Jason has thrilled me with his skills, and his six 3-pointers made my day! Coach Johnson, the Trojan basketball team, the student body and community's response is what makes me cry every time I watch this video. I can see the tears of joy on the faces of some of those grown boys - those will be men of character - men who celebrate the accomplishments of others - men who take nobody for granted. God bless you all.

My name is Bill and I recently saw J-Mac again on TV getting an award. I keep seeing the incredible game video over and over. Everytime I watch there is a tear or two. You see, I am the father of a young 6 year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy. He has just worked his way out of a walker that he has had to use all of his life. He loves playing and being involved in sports. He has played Challenger Baseball, rides a horse(he does this all on his own now), and he is starting to play the game of golf. The boy has worked hard and has never complained once about his disability. Least to say everything Logan has overcome in the past year has been remarkable. The school he attends, Gardner Road Elementary, is second to none. Just like Jason, Logan is treated with the upmost respect. What really impresses me the most about Jason was the love all of those students, parents, teachers, etc in those stands showed for Jason. That's a credit to everyone involved at Greece Athena. I see this same type love for my son, Logan. Everything that is done to help these kids goes a long way. Everyone WINS!! Especially the children that are around both Jason and Logan. The life-long lessons being learned makes all of us better human beings.

I recently saw J-Mac help at the Indianapolis Colts' preseason training camp. He did a GREAT job and it was really nice to see him out there doing that. I was able to get Peyton Manning's autograph, and J-Mac was right by him the whole time. He said he was his helper. It was a neat sight. Congratulations J-Mac.

G-Mac is a great kid. What an influence! Congratulations goes out to the school and the boy's basketball team. What a good Samaritan G-Mac's coach is. That a way, G-Mac!

Jason's story is incredible. Our team watched a copy of the story together from ESPN. It moved out team. We are a team that has struggled to win. In the last 20 years our teams have avg 3 wins.
We constatly look for ways to turn our mind set around here in Menasha. is there any way we could get Jason to come to our school in Wisconsin. He would not only be a great influence on our typical athletes but we also have a population of autistic students he could reach. If you could somehow put me in touch with his contact people I would appreciate it. We are having the real Coach Carter speak here on Nov 4th. We would love to invite Jason and his family. |
