Ashwaubenon Storm TOPSoccer Program
TOPSoccer recently concluded its 2011 fall season on Oct 22 with the Ashwaubenon HS JV cheerleaders and "Joey the Jaguar" cheering the players on as they scrimmaged. Afterwards, the players received awards and treats and took pictures with "Joey" and the cheerleaders. TOPSoccer is open to players with special needs to provide them an opportunity to play organized soccer with experienced coaches and players. Player participation and development are key elements of the program which is designed to improve the overall fitness, self-esteem and social skills of participants.

12th ANNUAL DUBUQUE BLOWOUT SOCCER TOURNAMENT, July 9-10, 2011
The Storm U13B, U13G and U17G teams traveled to Dubuque, IA for the 12th annual Dubuque Blowout Soccer Tournament. On a hot, humid and windy weekend they competed along with 80+ teams representing 5 states (IL, IA, MN, NE & WI) at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.
The U13B went 1-2-1 and played some strong soccer for most of the weekend despite a tough draw and less than ideal game schedule playing two games late Sat afternoon and evening then returning to play early Sun morning and again late in the afternoon. Without a doubt, their level of play is not reflected by their record as they gave it everything they had.
The U13G finished 2-1-0 with the only blemish coming at the hands of the host team and eventual champion, Dubuque SC. The first game was a windblown 2-0 victory over a sound North Scott SC, IA team. The second game was a very spirited, physical contest versus DSC where the girls played with great heart but fell 0-2. The final game was a 2-0 victory over a solid Orange Crush, IL team. Though worthy, the girls failed to advance to the championship match but had a strong tournament.
Congratulations to the U17G team who brought the hardware home finishing as the tournament runner-up with a 2-1-0 record. The first game was a 0-3 loss versus a tough Astra, IL team. To their credit, the ladies rebounded to win their next two matches 2-0 against Omaha FC, NE and 1-0 versus Drapers Destroyers, IA. Well done ladies!

Schwan USA Cup - Blaine, MN
The U19G team played at Blaine, MN this summer. Their team played teams from Minnesota (1-2), North Dakota (6-0) and Japan (0-3). It was a great experience for all involved!
