2010 SEASON TRYOUTS:

Tryouts for the 2010 season will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Robert Park. Tryouts are for all age groups (10U, 12U and 14U). Tryout times are 10:00am for 10U, 1:00 pm for 12U and 3:00 pm for 14U. For more information please contact Wayne Young at (225) 266-3332.

Ascension Braves Baseball is an organization of Competitive Baseball hosting tournaments at Robert Park in Gonzales, Louisiana and competing in tournaments throughout the Gulf Coast Region. Ascension Braves proudly supports local area High Schools.

From Baton Rouge exit La. 173 "Hwy 73" continue past Burger King and Dutchtown High School. Continue on Hwy 73 to Cornerview. There will be a large Church to youre right when you are at Cornerview. Turn left onto Cornerview. Robert Park is located 2 miles on right.

From New Oreleans exit La. 30 toward Home Depot. Take a left at the Waffle House onto Veterans and continue to the stop sign. Turn left onto Orice Roth Rd. Orice Roth turns into Boudreaux Rd. Continue to the stop sign and take a left on Cornerview. Robert Park is approximately 1 mile on the left.

Baseball Players Prayer

God grant me wisdom,
to tell a strike from a ball, 
to know where to throw and never to fall. 

Keep me always in the base line,
running straight and true
and I'll look for a sign,
to stretch one into two.

God give me the vision,
to see every pitch, 
so if a player needs help,
I can see which.

Let me always hustle,
so I'll be at my best
and take pride in myself,
in sports and the rest.

God be my strength,
when I throw the ball,
when I'm at home plate,
or against a wall.

So I never miss a base,
please guide my feet,
bring me home safely, 
so my job is complete.

When I help younger players,
let me always give praise,
so they'll see you in me, 
in all of my ways.

God please guide our Coach,
to be fair and smart,
to teach us to be good, 
let it come from the heart.

Let me take a loss,
just as well as a win,
to do any less,
is surely a sin.

As long as I can play,
let me make my paents proud,
as proud as I am,
when they yell my name out loud.

However my games end,
and my seasons are done,
let me play on you're team,
just like youre son.
