Armada 10U Wins 3-On-3 Championship
10 U Boys
Armada 10U Boys
The Armada Corvettes 10U basketball team went undefeated in capturing the 1st Annual Leadership Through Athletics (LTA) 3-On-3 Tournament. In their first official action together the four man team of Corey Ausby, Brett Bowie, Nasire Cotton and Cyrus Vaughn displayed excellent team work.

The Armada 12U Cruisers showed tremendous determination in making it to the semi-finals of the LTA 3-On-3 Tournament. Short a player, the team of Curtis Johnson, Joshua Oglesby and Chaz Pittman called on 10U player Nasire Cotton to fill out the roster. While outsized in almost every match the Cruisers went 4-1 in pool play (three overtime games) and were knocked out by the eventual champion in their semi-final match.

Armada sponsored two 13U teams which played in the 14U bracket of the LTA 3-On-3 Tournament. The Cutters, comprised of Antoine Barnes, Bradley Burgess, Bradley Kitchen and Randall Lawson played spiritedly, finally going down in the quarter-finals. The Clippers, made up of Curtis Johnson, Anthony Miller, Michael Smith and Raamah Vaughn played well enough to be the 2nd seed exiting pool play. The Clippers went down in the semi-final, with their only losses in the tournament coming at the hands of the tournament champion and finalist.
