Sage lose 1st Bracket game in a squeaker on Thursday, then come back to win in second game to stay alive in the series.
Third game (Friday) was rain delayed in top of the 4th inning with Sage at bat leading 4-0. Game was concluded on Saturday morning followed by 2 more wins before falling to a powerful KY Outrage team. Final Placement: 7th out of 32 teams. Way to Go Ladies !!

The Arlington Sage
'96 (16U) will be holding tryouts on the following dates (tentatively at Greenbrier
Park (at Yorktown H.S.). Girls trying out for the Sage '96 are expected to
attend 2 of the 3 days, but are encouraged to attend all 3 if possible.
- Monday, August 22 from 6-8pm
- Wednesday, August 24, from 6-8pm
- Saturday, August 27 from 9-11am
Girls born on or after January 1, 1996 will be eligible.
Beginning September 8 and continuing through end of October, Sage '96 will
practice 3 days a week (tentatively Mon, Thurs, Sun) and will compete in 3-4
tournaments at the 16U Rec level. There is a possibility of playing in 2-3
Sunday doubleheaders (that is to be determined). For more information,
including proposed tournament weekends, please review the attached tentative
player/parent/coach contract.
The Sage '96 team is coached by Angie Tyson, a former college pitcher and
outfielder, who has coached in Arlington for 8 years. She has been the Head
Varsity Coach at Wakefield H.S. for the past two seasons, provides pitching
clinics and lessons in Arlington, and has coached in a variety of capacities
with the Sage organization since 2003. Coach Tyson is assisted by her Wakefield
staff as well as her husband, who has transitioned to softball coaching after
10 years coaching youth soccer.
