Fall 2009 Registration Now Open
Beginning Saturday, September 19th, Arlington Babe Ruth once again will offer a fall Baseball experience for boys and girls, ages 5 - 12. The season will run through October 31st. Whether a youngster wants to have a season full of fun games with their friends and schoolmates or to sharpen his or her competitive skills, the Cal Ripken Division of Babe Ruth Baseball has a team for each child.
Comprised of four levels of play, from t-ball to the Majors, Babe Ruth has enough diversity built into itself to make playing baseball an excellent sports activity for youth of all ages, abilities and experience levels. This fall, ABR will run leagues in t-ball, machine pitch, and two levels of player pitch ball.
ABR will continue to offer, at our Majors division, play on the 50/70 fields. This will help players transition easier from the Cal Ripken size field to the Senior Babe Ruth full size field. Besides the distance between bases being at 70 feet, players will be able to take leads off the bases, read pitcher's pick off moves, steal similar to the traditional game and learn to make fielding adjustments as baseball is played at the older levels. Like other Babe Ruth organizations, Arlington Cal Ripkin Babe Ruth (ABR) will continue to make every effort to ensure our players a program run by experienced and dedicated coaches, who teach an impressive amount of baseball in a constructive, non-pressured manner. This approach allows every boy and girl the opportunity to have an enjoyable fun-filled experience.
Our fall 2009 fee is $10 for tball and $25 for machine pitch to Majors, which covers equipment, insurance and uniforms. Players get to keep their shirts and caps.
The season starts Saturday, September 19th, so now is the time to get your child registered. We have three easy ways to register your child for play this fall.
