ABR Spring 2013 Season Ends. Playoffs for AAA and Majors,

image_name2

Our spring season came to an end Saturday June 15th, a wonderful spring day. While early in the season it didn't seem like we would ever get to spring and some nice weather, another successful season has been completed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteer coaches, assitant coaches and everyone else it takes to make our league run so well. Again, thank you all so much!

Our single elimination tournaments for our AAA and Majors divisions have been under way, and have endured much rain and rescheudling. It looks like we're in the home stretch though, with the Majors National division being the first to complete it's tournament.  Congratulations to Chandler's Plumbing A's for taking home the gold!  The rest of the tournament champions will be posted when they hopefully complete Monday and Tuesday. You can view the playoff brackets and schedules by clicking on the "Majors and AAA Tournament" link in the left hand menu.

In February ABR announced details for supplemental play for all kids. The idea is to provide more play and quality instruction for all age groups and skill levels. We are now accepting registration for our District and Local B team tryouts. If your child is interested in playing on either the District Team or a Local B Team(s), please sign up at  http://www.sportssignup.com/Arlington-Babe-Ruth-Online-Registration.start (same process used for Spring signups – please remember to click on the “Place Order” button at the end to complete your registration). Having your child pre-register is important for ABR to capture all the necessary information needed for planning purposes.

We'll have District teams for 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U age classes (league age is determined by the child's age on April 30th, 2013).  Go to our Travel and Supplemental Program page for complete details.

Membership Required!

We welcome any and all comers to the ABR website, but access to our team pages and rosters is restricted to members only. This is a security measure on our part so parents will feel more secure about having information and pictures of their children posted on the website. Of course, no security measures are foolproof, but we do what we can.

If you are an ABR coach, parent, player or fan, apply for site membership by clicking on the schedules page. The form will ask you some general information questions. Please also indicate your child's name, team, and coach. Your membership request will be forwarded to the webmaster. Once the webmaster has your request, you will be approved if you have provided all the appropriate information. If the webmaster needs more info, you can expect an email asking for additional information. Once you respond with the answers, you will be granted membership. You may also email the ABR webmaster at the time you register with this information (along with the username you chose when you applied for membership) and your application will be approved a little more quickly.

Thank you for visiting the ABR website. We hope you enjoy your stay and appreciate your forbearance with our membership rules.
