1. What are the boundaries for Arapahoe Little League?

The boundaries for Arapahoe Little League are:  Hampden Avenue to the south, Colorado Blvd. to the west, 56th Avenue to the north and Gun Club Road to the east.

2. What is the length of the season?

Games for the regular summer season are scheduled from mid-May until late June.  Post-season play to determine division champions begins the last week in June.  All-star teams will be selected and have practice starting in July and will continue playing until they are eliminated from competition through double elimination.  Please see the calendar for more spefic information.

3.  How many games are scheduled per week?

It depends on the division, but the Farm through Little League divisions will play up to 3 games a week on weekdays and weekends.

4.  What is the age cut-off for your divisions?

The cut-off date to qualify for a team is May 1, 2011.  Whatever age your child is on that date, is the division you should register them for.  If you would like your child to play up a division, please speak with a League President.

T-Ball 6 and under

Farm Team 8 and under

Majors 10 and under

Little League 12 and under

5. My child is 6, but is ready for coach pitch baseball, can he move up to the farm division?

If a child has played two seasons of T-ball by age 6, they can move up to the farm division.

6.  Is this the league that leads to the Little League World Series?

Yes, the All-Star team for the Little League division will compete in a tournament structure with district, state, regional levels which culminates in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

7.  Does the league need coaches or umpires?

Yes, we need all kinds of volunteers including coaches and umpires.  All volunteers working directly with children are required to undergo a background check.  Umpires are required to be 14 y/o or older.  When you register your children, please indicate your interest in helping out.  If you do not have a child in the league but are interested, please contact us at arapahoell@gmail.com.

8.  Where are games played?

Home games are played at the Arapahoe Little League fields at Buckley and Kentucky Avenue in Aurora.  Some divisions may play teams from other local leagues as well, requiring travel throughout the metro area.

 9.  What is the cost of registration? 

T-Ball $75   Farm

Team & Majors  $130 + $75 refundable deposit of volunteer hours are completed

Juniors & Little League:  $140 +  $75 refundable deposit of volunteer hours are completed

Seniors  $125 + $75 refundable deposit of volunteer hours are completed

  10.  What happens at tryouts? How is my child placed on a team?

Any player who has not previously played for Arapahoe Little League will have to attend one tryout session.  Coaches attend the sessions and then draft a team.  Every player is evaluated individually and placed on a team according to a traditional draft by coaches.  Siblings will be placed together.
