Mount Vernon United Methodist Church

Mount Vernon United Methodist Church offers two different Sunday worship services. For both services, the dress is your choice, although they tend to be more informal than formal. Sunday Services 8:30 AM - This 40 minute service is designed for young and old alike whose busy Sunday schedules require the worship should be early in the morning and short. To get your heart beating, there is rousing hymn-sing before the service begins. 10:30 AM - This is a more traditional service. Every Sunday, the adult choir presents at least one anthem and almost every Sunday, one of the children, youth, hand bell, or dance choirs adds diversity to the worship experience. For both worship services, MVUMC offers wireless transmitters for the hearing impaired, a "cry room" at the back of the sanctuary, and large print bulletins. For people with young children, nursery attendants are available from 8:25 through the 10:30 service. There are several Sunday School classes for children and adults alike. Sunday School meets at 9:25 (or thereabouts). Refreshments are offered after each service, either at the back of the sanctuary or in MVUMC's newly-redecorated Laughlin Hall.
