The mission of Apex Volleyball is to teach the sport of volleyball
Our focus is the athletic and personal development of our student-athletes. We strive to create a safe, positive, and effective learning environment where student-athletes and coaches alike work to achieve individual excellence within a team dynamic. The Apex Volleyball program views the volleyball court as a classroom, where we develop the skills, character, and passion necessary to excel at volleyball and life. We emphasize, encourage and support the discipline, respect, responsibility, accountability, commitment, leadership, and work ethic necessary to build a true team. In conjunction with specific volleyball skills development we emphasize and teach the importance of proper nutrition, rest, fitness and healthy lifestyle choices. Apex offers a multitude of opportunities for player development and provides for the continued growth of volleyball in our region. Apex offers girls and boys the opportunity to participate and develop in our sport.
Apex Volleyball actively contributes to the betterment of the community through philanthropic work and participation in civic activities. Opportunities for our student-athletes to pass on their training to others and annual service initiatives are important elements of our program. Teamwork, integrity, communication, the importance of sacrifice and sportsmanship are key elements in what we see as the process of learning a sport for a lifetime. We welcome any and all to join us in this volleyball journey to joy.

WOW !! WHAT A SHOW
APEX MAGIC WON THEIR THIRD CONSECUTIVE GEVA OPEN REGIONAL TITLE ON SUNDAY. THEY EARNED THE TOP REGIONAL BID TO USAV NATIONALS BY WINNING THE EVENT IN SIX STRAIGHT MATCHES WITHOUT DROPPING A SET.
IT WAS A SHOW FOR THE AGES. MAGIC STRUGGLED ONCE IN A WHILE, SEEMINGLY ON THE BRINK, BUT THEN WOULD JUST SAY, “I SAID NO” AND SIMPLY GO TO WORK AND FINISH THE TASK AT HAND.
MAGIC DEFEATED AVVC, CALI, AND A TOUGH PERFORMANCE TEAM IN POOL. NEXT UP WAS ACADEMY FRESH OFF THEIR OPENING ROUND VICTORY. AFTER A WELL-CONTESTED CONQUEST, MAGIC WOULD FACE A VERY STRONG DIGS TEAM. MAGIC HAD BEATEN DIGS BY A TOTAL OF FOUR POINTS A FEW WEEKS AGO.. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN.. AND A BATTLE IT WAS. THIS TIME THE MARGIN WAS ONLY FIVE. WITH THAT WIN IN THE BOOK, APEX WOULD AWAIT THE VICTOR OF ACAD AND DIGS IN THE CHALLENGE BRACKET.
DIGS IT WOULD BE.
APEX DISPATCHED DIGS TWENTY-FIVE TO TWELVE IN THE FIRST SET, BUT DIGS WAS CERTAINLY BETTER THAN THAT SCORE. A GRUELLING KNOCK DOWN DRAG OUT BATTLE HAD APEX DOWN MOST OF THE SECOND SET. A FEW KEY KABOOMS AND SOME GREAT SERVES PUT APEX OEVR THE TOP AT TWENTY-SEVEN TWENTY FIVE.
APEX IS CHAMPION AGAIN
KATIE FAUGERSTROM AND MEGAN THEILLER WERE NAMED TO THE ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM
SHANNON KELLY WAS NAMED TOURNAMEN MVP
I CAN’T BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW PROUD COACH OREN AND I ARE OF THIS GROUP OF YOUNG LADIES… YOU ARE THE BEST….
HATS OFF TO A VERY GOOD DIGS TEAM AND GOOD LUCK TO THEM AS THEY ALSO REPRESENT GEVA AT NATIONALS

SIM SALA BIM DID IT THE HARD WAY ON SUNDAY.
AFTER FINISHING SECOND IN POOL APEX DROPPED A MATCH TO THE A TALENTED FURY TEAM. NOW NEEDING TO WIN OUT TO SURVIVE IN THE DOUBLE ELIMINATION FORMAT, THEY WENT TO WORK.
NEXT UP WAS CREOLE, WHO HAD BEATEN THEM IN POOL PLAY. APEX PREVAILED AND MOVED ON TO FACE LIBA. STEPPING UP TO DEFEAT LIBA, NEXT UP WAS DOWNSTATE. A DETERMINED AND EXHUBERANT EFFORT KNOCKED DS FROM THE RUNNING. THE STAGE WAS SET FOR (WHAT I WILL CALL) THE FINAL FINAL BETWEEN APEX AND ACADEMY.
THESE TWO TEAMS HAVE HAD EPIC BATTLES FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS, AND IT WAS A FITTING WAY FOR BOTH TO END THEIR GEVA CAREERS. ATHLETES FROM BOTH CLUBS HAVE BEEN TEAMMATES ON HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAMS OVER THE YEARS, AND I AM CERTAIN IT WAS ONE MORE BATTLE FOR THE AGES. SIM SALA BIM TOOK THE FIRST SET, ACADEMY THE SECOND. ACAD CAME AWAY WITH A 15-13 THIRD SET VICTORY TO CLINCH THE CHAMPIONSHIP. APEX EARNS THE SILVER. SECOND PLACE AMONG THE FIFTY PLUS TEAMS IN THE REGION, CONGRATS TO YOU.
Rhinebeck / SUNY New Paltz Swing Hitter Rebecca Borquist and Pine Plains Junior Setter Mikala McCauley were named to the GEVA Eighteen Open Championships All Tournament Team. This is well deserved recognition for their hard work on Sunday and all year long. Congratulations.GO HAVE SOME FUN IN MARYLAND.

from Doyle.. It was a great thing to witness the improvement in this team over the season. I was lucky enough to get to see most of the matches on Saturday, and the confidence and competence were evident. Go have some fun in Maryland.

Cadabra entered the twenty team Club Championship event with intentions of glory and acheived it. Cadabra was the ranked 16th going in and needed to improve the ranking to medal in the event. They accomplished that and more coming away with the Silver. There are bright things in the future for this special group. Congratulations Cadabra, you were GREAT..
