Michael started in our Junior Legion program before playing four years with the senior team. He earned a scholarship to play at UNC before suffering through more injuries. He has decided to pursue the game at Mount Olive and the coaching staff want nothing more than all the best for this young man. He has worked so hard and has been loyal to our program. Tim Federowicz was a stand out catcher for Apex Post 124 before heading to UNC Chapel Hill. He played in Omaha three years in a row before being selected by Boston in the 7th round of the MLB draft.

Former Apex American Legion catcher now playing for the Bulldogs.
Cameron Mitchell - Brown University
Former Apex American Legion standout catcher now playing for the Bears. In limited action for us in 2001, Cameron hit .304 with 5 RBI's. On the mound, he struck out 20 batters while walking none.
Landon Powell - University of South Carolina
Former Apex American Legion player now playing for the Oakland Atheltics. In 1999, Landon had a .464 batting average, 9 dong's, 37 RBI's, and a splended .557 on base percentage.
Wes Moyer - University of North Carolina
Former Apex American Legion player now playing for the Heels. Wes had a .484 Batting average with 5 HR's and 22 RBI's for us in 2000 plus a whopping .500 batting average with runners in scoring position. In 1999, Wes batted .442 with 14 dingers and 49 RBI's. Quite an impressive 2 year stint.

Former Apex American Legion player and assistant coach is now an assistant coach at Appalachian State. Matt was a standout player at Barton College.
Matt Kushner - Greensboro College
Former Apex American Legion player played for the Pride. Matt is now a border patrol agent in the San Diego area. Good luck with your new career Matt and keep in touch.
