AOBrooklynFC: Welcome

Thank you for visiting our AOBrooklynFC website. I hope you continue to support our club in the near future. I just wanted to inform you some of the history of the club and some of the expectations that will arise with the association with our club. The “AO” of AO Brooklyn FC represents the American Outlaws supporters club for all United States Soccer Teams. The organization was started to spread the love of soccer throughout our great nation and to have a strong representation of United States fans that follows and supports our national soccer teams. Shortly after the 2010 World Cup, Matt Vega decided to pool together local Brooklyn soccer fans and he formed a Brooklyn Chapter of the American Outlaws. With continued support from Lonestar Bar and Grill, we have developed a large home base to show our support for the national team and through our membership chairperson, Tim Viverto, we have established several trips to watch our national team perform on the road. AO Brooklyn FC has been developed in order to give its members the opportunity to compete in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League and to help spread our organization to the greater NYC area. We are looking to develop future teams such as an Over 30’s team and also a Women’s team.

Here are some of the expectations of our players with the club:

  • Games take place on Sundays and we will have a total of 16 games per season (Excluding friendly games to be schedule during and before the start of the season). The season is broken up into two parts (September –December and March through June).
  • We will be sponsored by Lonestar Bar and Grill for several fees that are associated with our club and this will greatly reduce our dues per player. We expect all players to patron the bar by coming back to the bar after a game for a drink or some food.
  • Lonestar Bar and Grill is also our home to view all US national soccer games and we are looking to make it an Official U.S Soccer bar by next summer. We expect that all members of the team make an effort to come watch the US national teams during their games.
