Majors Americans bats, Go Bang, Boom Ahhh!
ANSLL Americans provided some post July 4th fireworks as the bats came alive in a 10 - nil victory over the Chantilly American squad. Josh Allyn pitched 56 pitches in 5 innings, and overwhelmed the Chantilly squad with excellent location, a change of speeds and a steely demeanor on the mound. Josh was dominant for the Americans.
Everyone in the lineup contributed to the fireworks, as timely hitting reined throughout the lineup. The "bombs bursting in mid air" show came in the 5th inning when Mitch Aker jumped on a 1-2 fastball for his first post season homerun. Michael Hennessey, and Josh Allyn also provided 2 hits apiece.
Great team effort by the crew, but a special mention to Josh Allyn, who's effort allowed much needed rest to ANSLL pitching arms, and as one old crusty veteran of many little league games pronounced "Josh's pitching was as good as I have ever seen"
