ANSLL 9-10 Nationals fall to SYA East
ANSLL National League All-Stars could not contain the top five SYA East Hitters as SYA East defeated ANSLL NA 14-4 at SYA LLV. The SYA East top five hitters combined for all of the SYA East run production. SYA East plated four in the top half of the first with solid hitting and in the bottom half Michael Szabo sent a fastball towering to the left field fence that everyone in attendance thought was gone, but it just stayed in play, slamming into an advertisement banner on the left field fence. Szabos blast plated two but that was all ANSLL would get in the first.
SYA East pitching held the Nationals in check all evening. All the ANSLL batters got the bat on the ball, only one strikeout all game, but only scored two more runs. In each of the second, third and fourth innings the Nationals had two outs without allowing a run, but the third out proved elusive in each of those innings as SYA scored a combined 10 runs. Alex Lewis went the distance. The Nationals joins ANSLL American All Stars in the elimination bracket for a game Friday night at Pine Ridge. ANSLL 9-10 National League All Stars are 1-1.
