ANSLL 9/10 Nationals Win Game 1
The ANSLL National 9/10 Tournament Team won their first game in the District 10 tournament, 7-4 over SYA West, Saturday at Pine Ridge. Michael Szabo pitched 5 innings for ANSLL, striking out 2, walking 5 and getting 8 groundball outs. ANSLL defense was solid in every innings. The Nationals bats were on fire in the first inning, taking an early 7-0 lead. SYA West came out strong in the bottom of the 1st, scoring 3 quick runs, followed by another one in the second inning. The third and fourth innings were scoreless for both teams. As the bottom of the 5th inning began, SYA made a pitching change. ANSLL-National had one out when the lightning and rains arrived. With one out, the game was called due to weather. Having completed 4 full innings, the score was 7-4.
The ANSLL National team will play on Monday, June 26 at 6:00 at SYA East. Congratulations to the ANSLL-National team!!
