DUNCAN KICKS OFF SEASON WITH IMPRESSIVE RUN AT DEMOTTE ROTARY RAMBLE
Junior to be CJ Duncan placed 20th overall and 2nd in his age group at the annual Demotte 5K Rotary Ramble Race on Saturday, August 9. His PR of 17:24 proved that his work ethic this summer paid off as he led a contingent of Niner runners through the streets of DeMotte and paved the way for what appears to be a successful season for the 2008 campaign. Brianna Martinez led a quartet of Lady Niners at the same race placing 188th overall and 7th in her age group with a respectable time of 21:33 for 5000 Meters. Martinez, a sophomore to be, is in her first full season of cross country after qualifying for Regionals in the 800 Meter Run in the 2008 Track season.
