2010 Season, Here come the TITANs
Titan Victory
2010 Champion Titans

2010 was a coming out party for the Ancaster Titans.  Here is a brief list of our accomplishments.

  • Faced the Brampton Blast in the semi-finals of the West Niagara.  Brampton is the #1 team in the province.  We kept the game close and were able to compete well in the second half
  • Made the semi-finals of the Frank Sobil Tournament in Oshawa.  Lost a heart breaking semi-final game.
  • Played our first Ontario Cup Tournament and just missed advancing.  Played Bolton and North Miss A very tight and lost on late goals.  Could have easily won our Ontario Cup tournament.  Missing players with injuries but fought to the finish.
  • Won two tournaments, Ancaster and Rochester
  • Lost only two games in the SRSL league.  Undefeated against eventual champion Erin Mills A and the only team to beat Bolton A, the League Cup Champion.  Just missed advancing to the OYSL.

Champion Titans 2009

The 2009 season was a wake up year for the Titans.  The level of competition jumped dramatically.  After some intitial growing pains, the team came together.

The team earned a promotion to the Elite division, won the Ancaster Tournament on our own home field, and went to the finals in two other tournaments.

We also went to the Premier Divsion League Cup finals against league champion Erin Mills.

Sign of great things to come!!!

The Fog Bowl, our most important victory

Georgetown Fog Bowl

The Fog Bowl in Georgetown in 2008.

Clinched the division title with a last minute penalty shot by Dan Perfetto.

You could not even see the play on the other side of the field.

Hayden made a huge late game save with a brave dash out of the box to thwart a breakaway.

This may have been the most important win in our history.  A loss in this game would have a cost a promotion out of the First Division.

Huge game!

The greatest shootout ever!!!!!!

Wateroo vs Ancaster, Here comes the shootout

Kitchener Invitational Tournament.

August 2008

Our team won our division in this very tough tournament which gave us the first seed into the semi-finals

We faced a Waterloo team that we outclassed during regulation play with numerous shots and dominant play.  Waterloo was desparate to take the game into a shootout.  They played us to a 0-0 tie in regulation and sudden death.

Shootout time!!

This turned out to be one of the most exciting and disappointing days in our history.

The games was decided after 24 shots.

Both teams went through 11 players each.  The 11th shooters were the goal keepers who both blasted shots over the net.

The game was lost on the 12th Titan shot on a great save by the Waterloo goalie.

The game was played with a huge crowd watching.

Very intense and exciting experience for the boys.
