AMERICAN FREEDOM GOLD (Soefje)'s KAITLYN THOMAS VERBALS TO UIW
The American Freedom Gold (Soefje)'s Kaitlyn Thomas (2013, OF) has verballed to play for head coach Todd Bradley at the University of Incarnate Word. In 2011, the UIW Cardinals claimed a share of the South Division Championship in the powerful NCAA Div. II Lone Star Conference. UIW is hoping to move to the NCAA Div. I Southland Conference this year. Ms. Thomas is a standout player at Denton Guyer High School, where she earned 1st Team All Area, 1st Team All District, and Academic All District.
AMERICAN FREEDOM GOLD (Soefje)'s CALLI IRVIN VERBALS TO MEMPHIS
The American Freedom Gold (Soefje)'s Calli Irvin (2013, RHP/1st) has verballed to play for head coach Natalie Poole at the University of Memphis, which currently competes in the NCAA Div. I Conference USA and will move to the Big East Conference in 2013. Ms. Irvin is a standout player at Plano Sr. High School this season after two years at Mt. Vernon H.S., where she earned 1st Team All District and Team MVP. Ms. Irvin becomes the 19th NCAA DIv. I player committed by the AF Gold (Soefje) and the 33nd player overall

The American Freedom Gold (Soefje) features 8 players on ranked teams on the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Pre-Season Polll. Class 5A - Plano H.S/#12. - Erin Lowell (2012, 2nd) and Calli Irvin (2013, RHP/1st); Class 4A - Frisco Wakeland H.S./#1 - Monika Reichhardt (2012, OF) and Tess Soefje (2012, Catcher); Forney H.S./#3 - Krista Williams (2013, Catcher); Burleson H.S./#7 - Hailee Smith (2012, 3rd) and Heather Smith (2012, 2nd); Sherman H.S./#20 - Katelyn Klug (2012, RHP). Additionally, the AF Gold (Soefje) features two returners on the Louisiana Class 2A State Champion Evangel H.S. - Jenna Kreamer (2012, 3rd) and Carolina Sanchez (2014, RHP).

The American Freedom Gold (Soefje) features two players nominated for the VYPE Magazine Reader's Choice Preview Cover Poll. Please visit VYPE Magazine and cast your votes for Paige Stevens (2012, OF, Mesquite North H.S) and Logan Even (2013, SS, Aubrey H.S.), You can cast a new vote very 30 minutes. Ms. Stevens has signed a national letter of intent to play for Abilene Christian University (Div. II, Lone Star Conference) and Ms. Even has verbally committed to Providence College (Div. I, Big East).
AMERICAN FREEDOM ADDS NEW 10u, 12u, and 14u TEAMS
The American Freedom Fastpitch Softball Club is proud to announce the addtion of five new teams to its organization. The 10u AF (Foster), 12u AF (Kellum), 12u AF (Fleming), 14u AF (Bond), and 14u AF (Meyers) bring the total number of AF teams to 11. The American Freedom will consider the right 16u team with the proven ability to qualify for ASA/Premier Nationals. The American Freedom chose to strategically grow by adding some of the stronger teams in the DFW metroplex to allow us to continue developing internally younger players capable of competing at the national level. The American Freedom now has grown from one 12u team in 2006 to become a top, nationally-ranked college showcase program. We are currently ranked 3rd in North Texas and 12th in Texas for the actual recruitment of players by college softball programs. AMERICAN FREEDOM HOSTING 2nd ANNUAL SUMMER INVITATIONAL
The American Freedom is accepting applications for the the American Freedom/2nd Annual Summer Exposure Invitational on July 20-22, 2012. This 32-team event features many of the top travel programs in Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. All games are played at the one, 4-field Allen Station Sports Complex, which is one of the finest showcases venues in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Last year, more than 25 college coaches recruited this event. AF GOLD (Soefje)'s LOGAN EVEN VERBALS TO PROVIDENCE COLLEGE
The American Freedom Gold's (Soefje)'s Logan Even (2013, SS/2nd) has verballed to play for head coach Kerri Jacklets at Providence College, which competes int eh NCAA Div. I Big East Conference. Ms. Even is a standout player at Aubrey High School, where she has twice been named 1st-Team All District and 2010 Freshman Newcomer of the Year. Ms. Even is the 18th NCAA DIv. I player committed by the AF Gold (Soefje) and the 32nd player overall.
AF GOLD (Soefje) TIE SO CAL A'S AT SURF CITY PRE-THANKSGIVING
The American Freedom Gold (Soefje) recently competed in one of the top pools at the prestigious Surf City Pre-Thanksgiving Showcase, including a 3-3 tie against the So Cal Athletics, which won the Premier National Championship in 2011 and 2012. The AF Gold (Soefje) played in front of more than 50 NCAA Div. I college coaches during the 3-day event. The AF Gold (Soejfe) plays one of the most nationally-competitve showcase and qualifier schedules of any team in Texas.
