Alum Rock Youth Soccer League: Welcome

The Purpose of Alum Rock Youth Soccer League is to promote, develop, and administer the game of soccer among all youth under the age of nineteen, regardless of race, creed, and/or ability.

There are plenty of board positions available for all parents who want to be more involved in their community.

Alum Rock Youth Soccer League is Class 1 and Class 3.  We play through CCSL playing league in Spring and Fall.  CYSA-D2 WEB

In the last months, we have seen an increase of broken legs among youth players due to violent slide tackle not even called or cautioned.   

A little research on google shows also an overwhelming percentage of broken legs in soccer are due to "illegal" tackles.

The rewritten Laws of The Game (2008-2009) removed the concept of "getting the ball first while tackling".

Now Law 12: A DFK is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following SEVEN offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: kicks or attempt to, trips or attempts to, Strikes or attempts to, jumps at an opponent, charges an opponent, pushes an opponent AND TACKLES AN OPPONENT.

If using excessive force is used, then a send-off is required and mandatory
