Flames Fastpitch History
Flames Fastpitch, Inc. was founded in the fall of 1996 by a group of former men's fastpitch players and coaches. It was recognized that many of the local girls of high school age did not have fundamental fastpitch softball skills. This obviously put them at a disadvantage when competing against other high schools with more developed players.

The Flames organization focuses on teaching the proper fundamentals and giving the area girls the opportunity to play fastpitch softball at a much higher level of competition. Our coaches teach the proper fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and running. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, sportsmanship, and sound work ethic. All managers and coaches within the Flames organization are encouraged to be Amateur Softball Association (ASA) certified and to maintain these certifications.

Flames Fastpitch is a non-profit organization. The managing and coaching staff is entirely a volunteer unit, selected by our board of directors.

Since the inception of Flames Fastpitch, we have been very fortunate to have received numerous awards, state rankings, and other accolades. This reinforces our commitment to continue our efforts with improving the skills of our member athletes.
