  Meet The Coaches

Saturday, January 19
Coach Chris McRaney

Chris McRaney is in his second year as the Head Coach at Alpharetta High School. Prior to coming to Alpharetta, he was an assistant baseball coach at Walton High School. Other stops along the way include St. Francis and Lovett High Schools. Coach McRaney is also the President of Easton Team Georgia Baseball Academy - which is a nationally recognized travel ball organization.

He is a graduate of South Natchez HS in Natchez, MS where he was a three year letter winner in football, basketball and baseball. He played two years of junior college baseball in which both years he pitched and played outfield. Coach McRaney is also a graduate of Mississippi State University.

Coach Mac developed a strong passion for sports from a young age. He grew up in a strong athletic family where his father was a teacher/coach for 25 years and his older brother who was a two sport athlete at Mississippi State University.

Coach Mac is very excited and enthusiastic about this opportunity and is looking forward to assisting the rest of the coaching staff, administration, parents and players at Alpharetta High School in building a tradition that they can be proud of in the future.

Most importantly, he is committed to the development of the players as young men and athletes both on and off the field. He wants to encourage all those who play for him to become winners of the most important game of all – The Game of Life.

Coach McRaney teaches CBI special education at the high school. He is married to his wonderful wife Kathryn and has twin boys, Max and Palmer, who will be three years old in August.
