First two Alpharetta HS Baseball players drafted to play professionally
Congratulations !!!
Andy Moye - Drafted in the 11th round (334) by the NY Mets
Mark Thomas - Drafted in the 22nd round (649) by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Andy was the 5th HS pitcher to be chosen from GA in a year when the draft leaned more toward those players who had college experience. Mark was the 2nd GA HS catcher (3rd GA catcher overall, 12th HS catcher overall) taken in the draft.

JV Raiders win first against Sequoyah!
A complete game by Phillip Grizzle and balanced offense led to the Raiders JV team's first victory 7-5 over the Sequoyah Chiefs. While gusty winds made catching more difficult, the defense was solid. A five run 5th inning put the game out of reach.
