Updated Bat Rules for 2012!

Little League International has placed a moratorium on the use of composite bats in the Majors Division and below.

For the 2011-2012 regular season composite bats are prohibited unless approved by Little League International. A list of approved composite bats can be found at http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/approvedcompbatssmall.htm. Wooden bats and metal alloy bats (one piece metal alloy or two piece [composite handle with metal alloy barrel]) stamped with BPF 1.15 continue to be ok for use.

Junior League
bats can be no more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter. All 2 5/8 inches diameter composite bats shall meet BBCOR performance standard. If the bat is not composite it does not have to meet BBCOR. Any 2 1/4 inches diameter bats used in Junior League should meet the Majors Division and below standard.

Senior/Big League bats can be no more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter. All non-wood bats shall meet the BBCOR performance standard.
