ALLIANCE SOCCER CLUB More College Signings for Alliance Rachel Roberts: Wayland Baptist Chelsae Lindsey: Wayland Baptist Ashlee Lopez: UTPB Congrats Ladies...The tradition Continues!
Alliance teams enjoy success for Fall 2010: '00 Girls - Kicked off their inaugural season by finishing 4th in WTPL, but came on strong at the end. Several additions for the Spring appear to have the team ready to take the next step! '99 Boys - Once again the boys finished second behind Lonestar. They capped their fall with a Semifinals appearance in the Aces Fall Challenge in Lewisville! A tough Classic League warmup in Frisco has them primed for the upcoming Spring! '96 Girls - Being forced to play in the Arlington Classic League and even to play a year up did not prove too tough for the girls. A win over the 1995 WT UnitedTeam combined with some other hard fought victories put them in the middle of the pack. The league should be prepared for an even better team this Spring! '93 Girls - The "Alliance Tournament Team" began the season with a tough Arlington tournament. The Aces Fall Challenge saw the team finish in second place by taking a guest player loaded Football Factory 93 to 6 PK's in the final. A few weeks later, the team went undefeated at the Arlington college showcase tournament and played very tough, including a win over Lake Highlands DII DFW Tornados 92. PAST SUCCESSES The Alliance soccer tradition continued this fall as the 99 boys finished the 2009 Fall season with a 4-0 record in the San Angelo FC fall cup, beating Triumph FC from Dallas two times and outscoring their opponents 21-0 to take home the title! The team showed their awesome potential in their victories and left the spectators wanting more! To cap it off, the 91 Girls dominated their bracket AGAIN in the SportSource Showcase tournament in Plano. Convincing shutout victories over TFC 92 and Impact 92 combined with an unfortunate tie against Arkansas Rush were a treat for all who watched. UNFORTUNATELY, the girls couldn't play the teams from the other bracket and ended up in 2nd place overall. They were, however, the only West Texas team to place! Congratulations to both teams for VERY successful Fall seasons! In total, the teams finished the season with a first and second place league record, and were champions in 4 of 5 tournaments, with a 2nd place finish in the fifth! It is obvious that, the sky is the limit for... ALLIANCE SOCCER! Another Championship! The Alliance 91 Girls fresh off of another West Texas Premier League championship (9-1-0) took home the championship trophies in the Waco HOT Soccer Fall Classic. The team finished 4-0 with an impressive goal differential of 18-0. Way to go ladies on ANOTHER Alliance championship! THE TRADITION CONTINUES! Congratulations to the Alliance 99 Boys for a very successful first season going 9-1-2 and taking home second place in West Texas Premier League! The future is bright for this very talented team! The Alliance 99 boys went 3-0-1 in Las Cruces to take home first place in The Whole Enchilada Classic. The boys played great soccer while outscoring their opponents 13-2. A final close and hard fought game showed what the team is made of in a 2-1 victory over the El Paso Athletic Academy. ALLIANCE LADIES REPEAT AS ARLINGTON LABOR DAY CHAMPIONS! After losing a close first game the ladies ran off 4 straight victories to take the title, while outscoring their opponents 14-3. The weekend was capped off with a shutout of the favored Canadian Valley 91/92 Girls! It was a great weekend as everyone contributed valuable minutes. In the end the score sheets showed what a threat the team will be as goals were scored by Rachel Roberts, Rachel Ramos, Dusty Westlund, Kourtnye Chandler, Chelsea Taylor, Emily Morris, Emily McBryde, Hailie Vasquez, Brooke Hankinson, and Serena Pinter. The defense, anchored by Molly Barham with Jessi Gonzalez and Ashlee Lopez on the outsides allowed only 3 goals and virtually no opposition attacks as they enabled the offense to dictate virtually every area of the game. Kelsey Foster played the majority of the minutes in the goal and was rarely challenged. With valuable minutes added by Katie Stewart the two combined to make some crucial plays on those very rare opponent scoring opportunities. Overall the team showed tremendous teamwork, confidence, and energy as they played their way to the title. CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!
