LITTLE LEAGUE PICNIC
The picnic was a success.  Thanks to all of you who attended and bid on the silent auction and/or donated to the "Field of Dreams" fundraiser.  Also, thanks to all who turned in pop can money or receipts.  The pop can drive was a big success.  Congratulations to our 2 winners:  Tee Ball team #1 sponsored by Meijer and coached by Drew Wilson and Jeremy Walker;  Major Baseball team #2 sponsored by Varsity Barber Shop and coached by Andy Lorenski and Tom Lamica.  Enjoy your parties!!!

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to Algoma Little League 2008!

Several board members have resigned their positions upon the completion of the 2008 season.  In order for this quality program to continue, we are in need of people to step up and fill the positions of president, vice president, player agent, treasurer and secretary.   Most of the current board has served for the last three years.  As for this season, any and all help is needed. 

Once again our registration increased by 20%.  Due to these increases, we have added a $25 tax deductible family fee.  These monies will be used for the expansion of our facilities and programs.  This fee will be reimbursed to families that volunteer as coaches, umpires, board members or field maintenance.  No family will pay more than $150 including the family fee.

Last year, $5600 was raised for the Field of Dreams.  This is still an ongoing project.  It is vital that we continue this effort due to the large growth in our league.
