The Alabama Flag Football Association(AFFA) began in 1987 as the Huntsville Flag Football League.&nbsp; In 1990,&nbsp; the AFFA was formed to develop league's outside of Huntsville.&nbsp; The AFFA is a non-profit based organization.&nbsp; Our job is to promote, develop, supervise, and inplement a budget for the expenses such as hiring city directors, officials, maintain the web-site.&nbsp; &nbsp;The AFFA offers divisions: Corporate &amp; Competitive.&nbsp; We are wanting to add a Church division.&nbsp; We play 8-on-8 flag football on a regulation size football field.&nbsp; Rules allow players to open-hand-block, therefore we do allow controlled contact.&nbsp; Our goal is to strengthen the physical, moral, and competitive fiber of Americans by expanding opportunties for participation in Fall, Spring, &amp; Summer Flag Football throughout our great state.

The cost to register an 8-Man&nbsp;team is $495 Plus $60 for flags or to get 'Logo or Team Name&nbsp;on Flags'. Individuals may register for $55.&nbsp; Each paid registered team will have there own web-site, play 8 regular season games and may earn a spot for the playoffs.
