In 1977, Pat worked with a local Alexandria-based group of baseball fans that called themselves 'Home Run, Inc.' who in 1978 formed the Alexandria Dukes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandria_Dukes), now known as the Potomac Nationals (http://potomac.nationals.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t436). A seasoned-veteran of summer collegiate baseball in the Valley Baseball League(http://www.valleyleaguebaseball.com), Pat has volunteered to work with the New Market Rebels; served as general manager of the Loudoun Rangers in 2004; and became owner and general manager of the franchise, moving it to Prince William County in 2005, renaming the ball club as the Haymarket Battle Cats. In 1995 Pat began coaching his son, Brian, now 20, in Bucknell Little League. In 2003 Pat served as the last president of Bucknell as he helped to change the name and direction of the organization as he became the first president of Alexandria Potomac Little League (www.eteamz.com/apll). As a 20-year Air Force veteran who served over 16 years at the Pentagon, Pat retired from the Immediate Office of the Secretary of Defense. He attended the University of Maryland and American University in Washington, majoring in business marketing.
