Our Atoms are AMAZING!! Our Atoms finished in third position at The Second Annual Bruno Heppell Tournament held on the 9th of June 2007.
They played a good game against the St-Hubert Rebelles. Never having played together before the team went ahead and scored 2 touchdowns in the first two possessions. They won by a score of 4-2.
The second game was much livelier since it was against our buddies of the Ile Bizard Vikings! In a game that went back and forth, time ran out and our Bills saw their only loss of the day with a score of 5-4.
Finally, the last game against Richelieu 2 was slow but interesting and added to the days excitement with a final score of 3-2 for the Bills.
The players of the game were: Kelly, our wonderful manager and sandwich maker, our team of Coaches who prepared the Bills for this fun day, the offensive line for all of their hard work and the defense for some memorable hits.
Please see our photo album and send us your pictures to add, especially one with the other half of Coach Terry!

We would like to congratulate the following 2006 PeeWees:
Samuel Lee Roy, Defensive Line

Mario Porreca, Quarterback
Christopher Watson, Line Backer
Evan Willey, Running Back
Congratulations boys and good luck!
We have confirmed our three managers for this 2007 football season.
At Atom we've recruited Kelly! Not only will she be helping us out with activities and game day things but she will also be driving close to 15% of the team home at the end of practices. Kelly will be assisting Coach Terry and all of the assistant-coaches keep their acts together, good luck Kelly.
At Mosquito Joanne has agreed to help us out. With the help of her assistant Greg, she will be a valuable asset to coach Micheal and his assistants. Joanne will be a great ressource to her parents and to the whole team.
Finally, the wonderful Kate has agreed to let us benefit from her years of experience at Alexander. As manager of the Peewees she is a good fit to help the new managers as well as Coach Steve during this their inaugural year (as well as the new PD!)
Thank you all for taking on this challenging role and we hope that you will enjoy it!
On Thursday the 3rd of May, we launched our football season with an indoor camp. Everyone was excited to be back on the field! We had many newcomers who were trying out football to see if they too have what it takes to be a Bill, a Card or a Roughie... well gentlemen, if you have heart, determination and are eager to learn, you have what it takes! See you on Tuesday at 6:30 sharp and don't forget to bring you signed equipment agreement.
Sunday, April 15th the Alexander Chalet doors were open and signs blowing in the wind, welcoming visitors who were there for the 2007 Outdoor football registrations. What a turnout we had. In all of the years that Allan Dobby and Jeff Zucker (NSFL executives who were on hand) have been associated with NSFL park football, have they ever seen such a turnout in 1 day….let alone a 3 hour session ! From 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., there was a steady stream of both returning and new players with their parents filing into the chalet to meet with their new head coaches, meet the new park director and sign up for yet another exciting 2007 football season with Alexander Park. By 4:00 p.m., a record breaking 86 kids had registered. 36 of which are registered for the Pee Wee program that can only take on a maximum of 40 players. 26 for mosquito and 24 for atom. What a terrific atmosphere. For those of you who still have not registered, please do not wait as spots are filling up extremely fast. Don’t waste another minute. If you wish, you can also inform your interest to register by sending an email to the Park’s Director, Lynda Renaud at alexanderparkfootball@hotmail.com .
During the time of registration, brand new items of football fan apparel were on display. Ranging from new football caps to T-shirts, wind breakers and varsity jackets. They were hung there so as to entice all park family members and fans to support their favorite Alexander football players. Pricing and availability for said items will be available shortly and we expect to have them on display on the website.
When is the outdoor season starting ? The outdoor season has typically started with practices, the 1st week in June however, over the past (now) 3 years, the Alexander coaches have offered to start the season earlier by hosting a Spring Camp. This is an ideal opportunity for returning players to shake the cob webs, dawn the equipment and start practicing early. This is even more important for those players who have never played the game before. Therefore starting Thursday, May 03rd, we will be starting a 7 1-1/2 hour sessions of indoor football. The location will be at the brand new and impressive, St-Lazare Sportplex located at the end of rue Bedard. Directions, telephone number and address will be put on the website in the coming days. As this program is above and beyond the outdoor season, there is a small cost associated with it. For the full 7 session indoor program, the cost will $50. That is really not expensive considering the entertainment and time that the players will be receiving with their coaches. We therefore are kindly asking that you email your respective coaches by Friday, April 20th to let them know that you will be attending the indoor program. Your coaches and their email addresses are as follows:
Atom. Ages 7 – 9. Terry White (HC) terry.white@canadapost.postescanada.ca and terry.white019@sympatico.ca
Mosquito. Ages 10 – 11. Mike Prendergast (HC) michael.prendergast@rchagen.com and flawannabees@videotron.ca
Pee Wee. Ages 12 – 13. Stephen Mons (HC) smons@aesus.com
The coaches and / or their managers will be in contact with you all in the coming days to discuss dressing the players with their equipment. Please stay tuned.
We look forward to an action thrilled season and hope to see you all at the indoor program shortly.
