How can you tell if your son or daughter is eligible to play in Alderwood Little League?

Players league ages 5-18 are eligible to participate in Alderwood Little League, provided they live within the following boundaries:

That portion of the EDMONDS SCHOOL DISTRICT which lies EAST of HIGHWAY 99.  View EDS map at http://www.edmonds.wednet.edu/196310416163244540/site/default.asp.

Not sure if you live within Edmonds School District Boundaries? Visit the Edmonds School District's neighborhood locator at http://webquery.edmonds.wednet.edu/edulog/webquery/

Additionally, Little League, Incorporated defines residence as follows:

A player will be deemed to reside withing the league boundaries if:

     A. His/her parents are living together and are residing within such league boundaries, OR
     B.  Either of the player's parents (or his/her courrt-appointed legal guardian) resides within such boundaries. It is unacceptable if a parent moves into a league's boundaries for the purpose of qualifying for tournament play.

Proof of Address Required with Registration

Little League rules required each League to verify that all participants reside within the league boundaries on an annual basis. Therefore, updating proof of residency annually with Alderwood Little League is necessary to ensure compliance with the requirements of our association with Little League. Unfortuately, Little League is experiencing a much higher level of instances of registrants falsely listing addresses. This is requiring Alderwood Little League to validate residency information in a more diligent manner.

Annually during registration, each participant will be required to present THREE original documents as "proof of residency" of such parent(s) or guardian within the Alderwood Little League boundaries. Acceptable proof of residency documents include:

     1.  Driver's License
     2.  Voter's Registration
     3.  Homeowner or tenant records
     4.  Utility Bills (i.e. gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
     5.  Financial (loan, credit, investments, etc.) records
     6.  Insurance documents
     7.  Internet, cable, or satellite records
     8.  Vehicle records.

Note: No more than ONE document can be accepted from each category.
Listed are the most common documents. If necessary, additional categories can be found on the website for Little League, Incorporated, www.littleleague.org. Players and their parents/guardians are advised that a false statement of residence may lead to ineligibility to play Little League Baseball or Softball.

Players who register online will be required to bring proof of residency to our league during any of the in-person registration dates and times.

Updated proof of address documents must be on file with Alderwood Little League prior to tryouts or team placement.

If you have any questions or have moved outside our boundaries and still desire to play with Alderwood Little League, you may contact a Player Agent at 425-775-KIDS(5437) or PlayerAgent@alderwoodll.org.
