Frank Roach, a dedicated Alderwood Little League Volunteer, passed away unexpectedly on October 28th at the age of 61.
Over many years Frank volunteered as a coach of his son Brad’s baseball team and most recently as a staff umpire at Alderwood Little League. Frank could always be counted on to step up and help on a moment’s notice. He was always positive on the baseball field and the kids were his priority.
Frank was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sunny Roach, children Jeffrey, Beth Ann, Jennifer and Bradley, eight grandchildren and 11 brothers and sisters. He was a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. Frank’ character is reflected in the over 30 honors he earned while a member of the military. Among his honors were the Purple Heart and Legion of Merit. Interment will be December 2nd at Arlington National Cemetery. Frank will receive full military honors.
In memory of Frank, Alderwood Little League has made a donation to the American Heart Association.
Thank you Frank for your unselfish dedication to the Players and Families of the Alderwood Little League Community.
