The Alberta 6 Man Football League was established in 2007 in West Central Alberta with 4 teams and has since grown to 16 teams for the 2011 season.  The league now encompasses Fort McMurray to the north and Brooks to the south.

The six-man game is fast and relies on athletisism at all positions, plus the grit and determination that makes the sport of football so exciting.
