Anchoridge Eagles,
First of all congradulations on your win and just know you have our support all the way on your journey in Florida and hopefully to the National Championship. You have been there before, and obviously know how to win that regional game. If there was a year the Seahawk Midgets were going to win, it was this year. Everything was lined up for a run at the title, with most of our players being 15 and turning 16 during the season. Yet, as the Seahawks had done many times before in the regional game, we lost. The loss was devastating, especially for the players that had been to a regional game 2 or 3 times during their career and had never won. For many of us, including myself, that was our last Pop Warner game, which was unfortunate. In fact, I believe only 3 of the players from this year's team will play Midgets next year. Hopefully, we proved worthy opponents, battling it out 21-20 (considering the last time we met at the same field for the same game in 2000, you beat us 28 or 30 to 0). You deserve everything you earned out there. We just did not take advantage of the opportunities that were presented during the game. Once again, good luck, and we hopefully will meet again soon. |
