Hornets Enters NAYS Tournament in Homewood, Al
On Saturday 6 April 2002, the Hornets invaded Homewood, Alabama in full force with both team entering the tournament. This was the second tournament for the 15 and under, the first tournament for the 17 and under. Both teams played well at times in the games, but there is still a lot of work to be done in order for us to reach a level of consistency.

The 15 and under team finished 4th in this tournament which show a level of improvement, we were actually in the running for a medal. We are slowly making a move up the latter and will be a very good team.

The 17 and under team faced to very good teams that were tournament seasoned which resulted in losses for us. This tournament was a test of our desire to be among the elite teams. We now know what we need to do to reach that point, some additional dedication by the players during practice to correct the problems we encountered.
