Alabama Hornets
Welcome to the home of the Alabama Hornets, we are please that you have taken a moment out of your busy schedule to visit with us. The Alabama Hornets were started in the summer of 2001 and only played in one tournament that year. After that tournament we found that we could and needed to compete in more tournaments against the best competition around to achieve our goal.
Our goal is to provide the kids of our area a way to compete during the summer against other kids from across the nation. We look to improve the kids basketball skills to make them better players, improve their attitudes to make them better people and give the talented kids an avenue to showcase their skills, with the hope of finding colleges that may need their talents and give them an educational opportunity. Also we want to give them the mindset that we care what happens to them and what they do with their life. We encourage them to be positive, do something positive, and make a difference for the betterment of their community.
The Hornets plan to participate in several tournaments this year to include a AAU qualifying tournament, the Alabama Sports Festival, show case tournaments, National tournament and a Summer League, this will provide our player with valuable playing experience. Participation in the tournaments and leagues will be determined based on available funding.
