The church is located at 3509 Blue Spring Road between Sparkman Dr and Mastin Lake. Coming from Jordan Lane (Hwy 53) you are going to travel east on Mastin Lake Road. You will cross over Pulaski Pike. The next intersection will be Blue Spring Road. Make a right. The church will be on your right. Turn right into the first entrance (north side). The gym will be towards the back of the church. If you miss the first turn, don't worry make the next right (south side entrance) and drive around the back of the church to the north side.

Located at Oakwood Road and Meridian Street, the Park was one of the few early ball parks open to all races it was used during the 1950s and 1960s for exhibition games by the Birmingham Black Barons and other Negro League teams and served as the practice field where Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays and other African American baseball legends played. With the Park renovated and reopened in 1994 by the City of Huntsville, baseball returned to Optimist Park as the self proclaimed "Friend of Youth."
