The HR Derby was recorded differently by different coaches. Some did it by age, some did it by division. In the past we’ve always have done it by age. We need to make sure to have enough trophies. Jim Schank will get the data, do some magic interpreting and post the winners on the web.
NEW-we’re going to include more divisions in the All Star Games, TBall, AA and Minors. The little kids may be calling it a T-ball bash, instead of All Stars, to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. All Star games start at 11:00, Sunday May 31st.
PLAY OFFS are for the competitive divisions only. Majors start playoffs 6/1 – double elimination.
Non Competitive division coaches need to know that after their last game, they MUST RETURN THEIR BAG. We will have a clip board with the team names and coaches names – they need to sign off that they returned their bags. Bags will be stored, NEATLY, in the block house. PLEASE do not just thrown the gear in the block house!
Knight Park – the bathrooms are nasty – especially the ladies room. The boro needs to be made aware of this and clean it up so that those who are brave enough, can use the facilities there.
Closing Day – Kim Kane’s charity will hold fundraisers on Closing Day this year, June 20th. She has several moon bounces and is working on a dunk tank, and she also plans on having the Root Beer Floats again this year.
Mary Anne will arrange to get the Sno Cone Machine, supplies and ice.
FIRESIDE Restaurant is going to offer a Pizza special to teams for the closing day picnic. More details to follow.
Closing Day Rain Date is June 21st – Father’s Day – yes, Father’s Day, so bring out the Men and have a ball J
Knight Park Ball Field is now going to be named the Joe Amento Ball Field. The boro has a plaque that will be mounted at the field.
NEW EVENT – Camden Riversharks – June 25th – Go to their website and click on fundraisers. Out login code is AmblerJB (case sensitive) TIX are only $11 and the kids get to run the bases at the end of the game J
