Little League Charity Tournament coming up on October 1st.

The plans for this tournament is to have is travel around the province year to year to some of the most prestigious courses in Alberta. This year we will be hosting it here in Lethbridge at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort! This course is one of the finest that Lethbridge has to offer. We are proud and excited to announce that we will be working with Challenger Baseball Canada for this tournament.

If you have never heard of Challenger Baseball let me fill you in a bit about it. Challenger Baseball is a division within Little League that provides the opportunity for children with cognitive or physical disabilities to enjoy and play baseball. Able bodied "Buddies" are paired up with each player, they assist the player in the game by pushing wheel chairs around the bases, helping players hold and swing the bat, protect the players from the ball, and many more. Challenger Baseball is played in a fun and safe environment where no score is kept, and the players wear and use the same Little League equipment as any other team. To find out more information about Challenger Baseball please follow this link http://www.littleleague.org/media/challenger.htm.

All Proceeds from this tournament will be going to coaching and umpire development programs, which is vital for the constant progression of Alberta baseball and Canadian baseball, and also towards Challenger Baseball. With all of this any young player will be able to make leaps and bounds. We also will be having a grand prize raffle as we will be raffling off the Little League trip of a lifetime. The Little League Trip of a Lifetime is a trip for two, flight and room to the 2017 Little League World Series and a MLB game.
