Welcome to the A. Green Summer Baseball Program Web Site!!  This site has been developed to allow baseball fans everywhere to track one of Southeastern Michigan's, and the country's, most successful summer baseball programs.  Check back often as we continue to add more to the site each day.  Please sign our guestbook at the bottom of this page and tell us what you think.

The A. Green Summer Baseball Program was started in 1996.  The goal of the program was, and still is, to provide an organization that teaches good sportsmanship and works to improve the fundamentals of players seeking to compete at a higher level.  The A. Green Summer Baseball Program recruits players primarily from throughout Southeastern Michigan, the Midwest and Ontario. However, we may also go anywhere else throughout the country in an effort to find talented players, who also possess the additional qualities off the field that we look for in A. Green Summer Baseball players.  Currently positions are extended by invitation only, most often generated by the recommendation of a high school coach, collegiate coach or professional scout.  In addition to this, prospective players must maintain not only proper conduct on and off the field, but also a grade point average that is acceptable for collegiate enrollment.

Currently, the A. Green Summer Baseball Program is one of the largest and most respected in the country and continues to grow each year, playing its home games at Oestrike Stadium on the campus of Eastern Michigan University and at Fisher Stadium on the campus of the University of Michigan.

At the conclusion of the 2014 season, 92% of the past players have received varying levels of scholarship money to attend the college or university of their choice.  Overall, slightly more than 98% of the players participating in the program, and who have completed their high school requirements, have gone onto continue their education.  Our current alumni list totals 315 players from 123 different high schools, and those who have gone onto graduate have thus far played at 94 different universities or colleges while 6 went immediately into the professional ranks.

In addition, the program remains very competitive on the field with a current overall record of 608-180-11 for a winning percentage of .771%.  This goes along with the 23 League Titles, 1 National Championship, 23 Tournament and District Championships, 3 World Series appearances (6 total berths in national events) and 51 drafts into Professional Baseball, including 1 young man who played professionally in Europe.  We have even had one young man drafted by the NHL and he continues to enjoy a stellar career.  This is truly a success story on and off of the field of play!  While many programs over the years have attempted to duplicate the A. Green way, none have been able to match the prolonged success, long standing tradition and the respect that has been earned.

The A. Green Summer Baseball Program are registered members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and maintain current affiliations in several programs; including All-Pro Sports USA, USSSA, NABF, AAU, CABA, ABA, DeMarini/Wilson Top 96, Perfect Game USA, World Wood Bat Association (WWBA), Gameday Prospects, Pastime Championships, Team One, Area Code Games, Aflac, East Coast Professional Showcase, Ripken Baseball, Triple Play Baseball, Elite Baseball, Triple Crown Baseball and the Livonia Collegiate Baseball League.

In addition, the A. Green Summer Baseball Program has developed partnerships with several national companies in an effort to maintain agreements on shoe use, uniform wear, glove and bat use along with many more items for our players and staff.  Look for further information on these issues throughout the coming fall and winter seasons.

For further information on the A. Green Summer Baseball Program, contact Head Coach Stan Eldridge at 734-646-5309 or by email at

Monday, December 15

The A. Green Baseball Program continues to grow and expand its offerings to players and families involved in summer baseball.  In 2015, the baseball community will see a new change in the program.

The long standing 18u team will move to the Collegiate Level and begin play in the long established Livonia Collegiate Baseball League.  The program will be led by Jim Mancuso and will allow for graduating HS players to compete immediately against seasoned collegiate players.  Coach Mancuso will be assisted by Paul Wenson, while a 3rd coach will soon be added to the staff.

The new team in the program will be the new 17u team which will be led by A. Green founder / General Manager Stan Eldridge, who will be assisted by Bill Jenney, Kurt Kosky and Mike Wadowski.  This new team will focus on 16 & 17 year old players who have high school eligibility left and are seeking to identify their future college or university.

The program will continue to field its 16u team, which will be led into its 2nd year of play by Glenn Ross and he will be assisted by Eric Kuster.

As well, the program will again have Paul Dreslinski leading its 15u team.  Paul will be assisted by Ed Dreslinski and Kevin Whitman as they look to build upon an excellent 2014 summer that saw them win over 50 games.

You can look forward to additional changes to the program as A. Green looks forward to expanding into the 8-13 year old fields in 2016!

Former A. Green players and current Colorado Rockies 2B D.J. LeMahieu was recently named the winner of an MLB Gold Glove for being recognized as the best defensive 2B in the National League for 2014!  Congratulations to D.J. and best wishes for what will without question be a long and outstanding career!
