    Agoura High School Girls Soccer enjoys a proud tradition of championship play, competitive spirit and the highest standards of good sportsmanship and personal integrity. It is certain that all girls recommended to the honor of participation in the program will well live up to that tradition, and will exemplify the best of American young womanhood.
   Our coaching philosophy may be summarized as follows: Soccer is a game and, as with all games, at the high school level, is supposed to be played for fun -- at least in part. However, as there is a consensus among players, coaches, parents and fans that it is MORE fun to win than to lose, our teams will do all that is possible, within the framework of fair play and safety, to win every game we play, by striving to play that level of individually skillful and tactically precise soccer that would meet the approval of even the most discriminating soccer player or fan. But it means little to merely say that we want to win, for every competitor wants to win. Success in soccer, or in any endeavor, is derived from a willingness to put forth the effort and make the sacrifices called for to PREPARE TO WIN. Thus, in all respects, each player must, and will, be fully prepared to win.
   With rigorous training sessions directed toward improving individual and team performance, no player should find the program an easy one. But, in the self-satisfaction of meeting challenging but realistic goals, each will be afforded the opportunity of having the most enjoyable and rewarding soccer experience of all their seasons in sport.
    The coaching staff welcomes each player and her family to the Agoura High School Girls Soccer program, and to the opportunity for each player to realize her unbounded potential, on and off the field.

SUMMER PROGRAM ANNOUNCED. The coaching staff will again be conducting Summer Tryout / Practice sessions and all girls interested in playing soccer for Agoura High School next season, including incoming 9th graders and returning players, are invited and URGED to attend. Based on the Summer Tryouts, those players who the coaches believe to be likely candidates for next season's Varsity or Junior Varsity teams will be invited to enroll in 6th Period Soccer P.E. beginning in the Fall semester. All others will continue with the Tryout process for the Frosh/Soph team during after school Tryouts to be held during September, October and November, on dates to be determined. Participation in the Summer Tryouts requires that you follow the following instructions carefully:

1) From the school website at www.Agourahighschool.net go to Athletics - Forms - Athletic Packet, and print, read and fully complete all the forms. (You will note that the CIF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION SUMMARY needs to be completed by a medical professional at the time of the student/athlete's required physical examination.);

2) Have your Physical Examination, preferably at the Agoura High School Sports Physicals and Clearance Day, in the school gymnasium, May 30, 2009. You may have your Physical Examination performed by your own doctor before May 30, in which case your doctor must complete and sign the CIF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION SUMMARY which is part of the Athletic Packet. You will turn in the completed Athletic Packet on May 30 and the several forms will be stamped. The AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARD SUMMER / OFF SEASON form will be returned to you;

3) Bring to the first day of Tryouts: a)The stamped AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARD SUMMER / OFF SEASON form, without which you cannot participate in the Tryouts; and b) A check for $35.00, made payable to AGOURA GIRLS SOCCER, which covers the administrative costs of the Summer program and also supports Agoura Girls Soccer.
