Ulmer Stadium, located on the north section of the facility, was the first phase in Cardinal Park to make its debut when the Cardinals played host to Belmont on March 22, 2000. One of the nicest playing complexes in all of college athletics, the venue features stadium lighting, chairback seating for more than 700 and an enclosed press box.
Along with hosting all Cardinal softball games, Ulmer Stadium has served as host to the 2001 Conference USA Championships and various high school games.
The Cardinal Park Sportsplex, adjacent to the stadium, houses the Nancy and Harry Jones Training Room, the Bonnie Rechter Wing with enhanced locker rooms, meeting rooms, concession areas, public restrooms and a Cardinal Store.
