JV WINS 24-21!!! CONGRATULATIONS JAGS!!! Athens Drive was the front runner most of the game before losing the lead late. But the Jags persevered scoring a late touchdown and making several defensive stops! Congratulations team for ending the season with a big win! |

Halloween night ended up cursing the Jags. As if the injury toll hadn't been ridiculous all year for the team, it reached a new level tonight. As the Jags were dominating and jumped to a 20-7 lead early in the 2nd quarter, both Snotherly quarterbacks were lost to injury in the first half. The Jags again jumped on their opponent early and took a 6-0 lead in the first half. After stalling in the red zone at the end of the half, the Jags found themselves down 18-6. The Jags picked up another TD in the 2nd half and played one of their strongest games of the year, but couldn't capitalize on several other scoring opportunities. In the end, the Mustangs had a 33-12 win. |

The Jags jumped to the lead early with three 1st quarter touchdowns and didn't let up. The defense shut down Panther Creek giving up only a field goal in the first half. At the half Athens Drive led 35-3. The offense kept clicking and the defense didn't let the Catamounts get back into the game as the Jags picked up their 3rd win in 4 games and move to a tie for third in the conference at 3-2! JV Jags jumped into the lead with an early touchdown and controlled most of the first half. But the Catamounts had two late scores to take a 14-6 lead into the half. Panther Creek scored again in the 3rd. The Jags kept battling and had some more scoring chances but turnovers were too much to overcome. |

The offense got things going quickly in the first quarter but Lee County took a 20-14 lead at halftime. The Jags battled tough with the Bengals and drove the ball into the red zone often but could not get into the end zone until the 4th quarter. The score did break F-V's stretch of shutouts but wasn't enough to come up with the win. The defense also fought hard and came up with a number of turnovers holding the Bengals to just one 2nd half score.

| The Varsity looked like a different team last Friday night at Enloe against the ever running Eagles, whose offense may look ugly, but can be very effective and tiring to play against. The Jag offense opened and closed the scoring on the night, and the Jag defense came up with a number of big plays leading to stops, but Athens ended up on the short end of the 24-21 score, in an exciting and hard fought game that was appreciated by the large crowds on both sides of the field.

The JV opened their season last Thursday night at home against a determined Enloe team, and fell to the Junior Eagles 38-0. The Jags showed their opening game jitters with a few mistakes, which stopped a number of their drives and allowed Enloe to reel off a few big gains resulting in scores. The team and coaches are confident that with additional work and experience, they can turn the results in the other direction. |
