Season Summary:

The Jaguars, who were missing many players due to injuries throughout the year, finished the season with a 4-8 record. Playing with most players back last Friday, they showed how things could have been, as they had the best of a talented 9-3 PAC-6 champion Southern team for most of the night.

To our seniors, we say thank you and best of luck in your future endeavors - we will miss you both on and off the field!

Varsity Playoff 1st Round Game: Athens Drive @ Southern (Durham) - Friday at 7:30

Jags lose to Southern Durham in a playoff heartbreaker 8-7

Athens Drive controlled the game with an early score and an inspired effort by the defense.  A late touchdown and 2-point conversion by the Pac-6 co-champs was the difference.  It was a great game and the Jags left everything on the field.  We're proud of you team!

Playoff hopes - Athens Drive ended up in a 3-way tie for 3rd/4th/5th place in the Tri-8. The Jags were unlucky in the tiebreaking draw and drew 5th place in the conference. That leaves the Jags with only a remote chance to make the playoffs. - HSOT Story.......

But the Jags are now Playoff Bound !!!!  Athens Drive is the 14th seed in the 4-A bracket and plays 3rd seeded Southern Durham Friday night!!!

Athens Drive scored early and often to win the last regular season game of the year. It was a strong all-around effort by the offense, defense, and special teams. -

CONGRATULATIONS JAGS!!!

Athens Drive was the front runner most of the game before losing the lead late. But the Jags persevered scoring a late touchdown and making several defensive stops! Congratulations team for ending the season with a big win!

Varsity Game 10: Athens Drive @ Middle Creek

Halloween night ended up cursing the Jags. As if the injury toll hadn't been ridiculous all year for the team, it reached a new level tonight. As the Jags were dominating and jumped to a 20-7 lead early in the 2nd quarter, both Snotherly quarterbacks were lost to injury in the first half. The team never stopped fighting but couldn't hold on, losing 25-20.

JV Game 9: Middle Creek @ Athens Drive
The Jags again jumped on their opponent early and took a 6-0 lead in the first half. After stalling in the red zone at the end of the half, the Jags found themselves down 18-6. The Jags picked up another TD in the 2nd half and played one of their strongest games of the year, but couldn't capitalize on several other scoring opportunities. In the end, the Mustangs had a 33-12 win.
