It was a really fun year. This young bunch of guys played most of the year tired of hearing that we are too young to win. They stepped up in big games and worked hard to win the # 1 seed of the 15th dist. These guys are a super bunch, I was very proud to coach them. It should be another great year in 2009 and I'm already looking forward to it. We want to wish Dusty Stovall the best of luck. Dusty was a great leader for us both on and off the field. Dusty has worked very hard and will be successful in whatever he wants to do. He will be attending WKU in the fall. Congrats to Barren County for winning the region. That makes it 4 out of 5 years the region winner came from the 15th district. STATS:
I handed out a copy of the complete 2008 offense and pitching stats. Each player that wanted one got one. If any parents want a copy just let me know.

To all parents who help make this a great year from fundraisers to trips. This has been a great bunch of both parents and players to work with. I think this bunch works well together for the entire team. We have some great kids in our program, a lot of winners who would do anything for their teammates and team.

FLORIDA 2009:
We do plan on another trip back to Florida in 2009 (First Sat. in April and return on Friday) plan on taking around 18 guys. I have 15 condo units on hold..

ALUMNI:
Was great to see all the former patriots that showed up and supported us in the post season, Ryan Weaver, Jeremy Simmons, Brian Jones, Travis Adams, Derrick Harwood, Jordan Keen, were jsut a few of the guys that were there.
CONGRATS:
Brian Jones who was named MVP for his college team East Central Miss.
Travis Adams who helped win the Sun Belt Conf. with WKU and earned a ring.
Derrick Harwood who was named all Conference by the Alabama Junior College conferences.
