Wednesday, June 12
Acreage Softball will be holding a softball mini-camp starting June 24th and running through the 27th 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. It is a great way to keep your skills sharp and to learn some new ones. Girls from all skill levels and from ages 5yr – 14yr are welcome to attend. The first day of the mini camp will be for anyone that wants to learn or sharpen their pitching skills. Jen Olds from West Coast Fundamentals will be the instructor for day one. All pitchers will need to supply their own catcher (typically a parent on a 5 gallon bucket). This is a FREE camp to anyone that signs up to play with us this coming season. Hope to see you there, be safe and have fun.

Wednesday, June 12
Acreage Softball will be holding their first in-person sign up this Saturday at the Free Community Park Jam in Community Park starting at 6:00pm. This event takes place monthly in Community Park and is always a lot of fun for the whole family. So anyone that doesn’t want to sign up online feel free to come out and see us at the Community Jam. Good music, great people, Corn hole games, and softball sign-ups, what could be better. See you there.

Reminder: All are welcome to monthly Softball Board Meetings
On the second Monday of every month, the Acreage Athletic League's Girls' Softball Board meets at the Acreage Public Library meeting room at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend this public meeting which lasts a little more than hour. In addition to hearing first hand what the near and long term plans for the league are, you can also inform the Board directly of your concerns, questions, compliments, and suggestions. Occasionally, a meeting is rescheduled or cancelled so check the calendar on this website or contact any of the Board members or coaches directly to make sure the meeting is being held as scheduled. If you cannot attend but have something to say regarding the league, email us at aalgirlssoftball@gmail.com and we will respond and read it into the record.

On behalf of the Girls' Softball Board, I would like to thank you all for a wonderful season. We have seen a great deal of fun and improved play among our athletes and it is due to your tireless efforts on and off the field of play. Please forward my appreciation to all of your assistants and parent helpers. Providing an opportunity to play this sport while building friendships and skills is a high calling that takes everyone of us; and you deserve the recognition of our community. Naturally, we hope that you'll join us again for the fall 2013 season so please keep in touch. Meanwhile, we do need to coordinate on some housekeeping matters. Please collect the ID badges from everyone associated with your respective teams and our board (including myself) will coordinate to collect them from you. I understand that there will be a fee assessed for non-returned badges so please make your best effort. We also need to to collect the equipment that you used. Keep an eye on your email and we'll set up times when you can bring equipment back to 'the cage' at Community Park. Also, you may inform your parents that we are getting team pictures together and they'll be hearing from us soon on that. If you have any feedback or suggestions on how to improve the softball experience for our youth, please let us know.

Thanks again!
