Ackerly Complex In 1997, after leasing the old Ackerly Fair Grounds for many years, the Abington Little League purchased the property and embarked on an ambitious project to build a brand new complex. The complex is home to four Little League fields and one regulation size field for our Junior and Senior programs. We hope to add a fully functional concession stand and club house in the near future to help complete the project. Directions: Follow Rts. 6 & 11 through Clarks Summit for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right at the light by Glenburn Pond onto Ackerly Rd. (Well Marked) The complex is 1/2 mile on the right. Parking: Ample parking is availible.
Dave Parker Memorial Stadium This is where it all started! The Abington Little League was formed in 1953 right here at the Sheridan Avenue field. The field was rededicated Dave Parker Memorial Stadium in 1969 for a former player who lost his life fighting for his country in Vietnam. Many League games are still played at this quaint neighborhood field. Directions: From Scranton/Chinchilla: Follow Rts. 6 & 11 to the Top of Summit Hill. At second light, turn left onto Winola Rd. Proceed up the hill and turn right on Earl St. Take second right onto Sheridan Ave. Field is on the right. Parking: Limited street parking on FIELD SIDE ONLY! Some spaces beyond outfield off Harwood Ave.
