Abilene South Player Registration Schedule:

Location:  Redbud Junior League Field  Time: 6:00 to 8:00 pm

2. Proof of Residency Documentation Requirements = 3 Proofs Required (Only one Utility Bill, Driver's License, Voter's Registration, Cable TV Bill, Phone Bill, etc.).

Abilene South Junior & Senior League – Time Limits for Regular Season Games

When discussing the established regular season game time limits for Abilene South at the Redbud Field, we have to first point out that there has been an accumulation of eight years of experience with different options and combinations of start times, and most importantly, when is a game suspended for completion at a later date. And yes, there has been discussion at each level of Little League Baseball including the highest level in Williamsport.

To begin with, the goal is and has always been to insure if at all possible, that the most games reach at least the five innings played required to meet Little League Baseball’s definition of “completed game status,” without ever being suspended.Another often overlooked and many times unknown fact to the average “fan in the stands,” is the Little League rule that a new inning in a game cannot start after the time of 10:30pm, with no exceptions. That is basically our “drop-dead time” that automatically suspends a game that has not reached the fifth inning.

There are a couple of simple, but firm rules that were adopted by the Board several years ago, and get the best results at Abilene South. The first one is to be sure and get the 6:00pm game to complete status (5 innings with no tie). If tied, additional “extra” innings will be played accordingly. The second is to adhere to the 10:30pm curfew in the nightcap game.

Unfortunately, “times limits” is a fact of life during the regular season. But come All-Star tournament time there is no time limit for games, just the curfew (11:30pm) at the end-of-night that must be adhered to.

Finally, the really good news is that surprisingly, most 8:00pm games are completed, with very few actually being suspended and finished at a later date.
