Northside wins 15U division
Northside won the 15U division of the first Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational on Sunday, beating Fort Caroline 4-2. Northside broke open a 1-1 game with two runs in the top of the third inning. A one-hour rain delay in the fourth inning suspended action. Both teams tallied runs in the fifth. FC threatened in the bottom of the sixth, loading the bases off NS starter Dylan Newman with one out but Kyle Nelson came in to get the last two outs for the championship. Congralations to both teams.

Fort Caroline wins 14U division
Fort Caroline won the 14U division of the Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational on Sunday, beating Fernandina Beach 8-3. FC scored four runs in the first inning and TJ Johnson shut out FB until the sixth inning, when FB scored 3 runs. Congratulations to both teams.

AB 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational Results

In the 14U elimination games, Fernandina Beach scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Atlantic Beach 4-3 in a well-played game by both teams.
Fort Caroline beat Jax Beach 8-4 in another tight game throughout.
Fort Caroline and Fernandina Beach will play for the championship at 1:00 Sunday, weather permitting.
In the only 15U elimination game on Saturday, Kyle Nelson pitched a shutout as Northside beat Atlantic Beach 5-0.
The other 15U game (FC-PV) will be played Sunday morning, followed by the two championship games. Delays caused by lightning pushed the afternoon games back an hour, causing the second 15U game to be moved to Sunday.
Northside will play the winner of the FC-PV game at 4:00 Sunday, weather permitting.
Both Atlantic Beach teams finished a respectable 1-2, with each losing in their first elimination games on Saturday.
The 14U All-Stars lost to Fernandina 10-0, beat Jax Beach 10-7, then lost a tight one to Fernandina 4-3.
The 15U All-Stars beat Ponte Vedra 11-4, lost to Northside 8-6, then lost again to Northside 5-0.
Fort Caroline earned the #1 seed in the 14U division of the Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational Saturday at Fletcher. Fort Caroline and Fernandina Beach tied 3-3, but FC got the #1 seed on the basis of better run differential. FC was plus 12, while FB was plus 10.
In the other seeding game, Atlantic Beach beat Jax Beach 10-7 in the opening game of the day. AB became the #3 seed while JB was #4.
Fort Caroline earned the #1 seed in the 15U division of the Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational. Fort Caroline beat Ponte Vedra 15-1 in the first game Friday night at Seabreeze. In the second game, Northside rallied with 5 runs in the final inning to defeat Atlantic Beach 8-6 and earn the #2 seed.
In the 14U division, Fort Caroline beat Jax Beach 15-3 at Fletcher. Two makeup games for rainouts are scheduled for Saturday morning before 14U seedings will be determined.
A revised schedule has been posted for the Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational. Tuesday's and Wednesday's rainouts in the 14U division have been rescheduled for Saturday morning.

The first Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational will kick off Tuesday night at Fletcher C field. AB 14U All-Stars will play the Jax Beach 13U All-Stars at 6:00 Tuesday. Eight teams in two divisions will compete for the tournament championships.
In the 14U division, AB, JB, Fort Caroline and Fernandina Beach will compete. In the 15U division, AB, Ponte Vedra, Fort Caroline and Northside will participate. Come out and support the senior league all-star teams!
Games will be Tuesday-Sunday at Fletcher. The 15U teams will play on Thursday and Friday at Seabreeze Elementary.

Finally, nice weather and some ballgames
Three games were played Thursday in the Atlantic Beach 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational. In the lone 14U game, Fernandina Beach slugged two homeruns to beat Atlantic Beach 10-0 at Fletcher Middle. In the two 15U games at Seabreeze Elementary, Fort Caroline beat Northside 11-5 in the opener, while Atlantic Beach beat Ponte Vedra 11-4 in the nightcap.

Second game rained out
Wednesday's scheduled game between Fernandina Beach and Fort Caroline in the 14U division was rained out. The game is rescheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.

First game suspended in 2nd inning
The first game of the AB 14U-15U All-Stars Invitational was suspended in the 2nd inning Tuesday night between Jax Beach and Atlantic Beach in the 14U division. Jax Beach scored 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning before the rain came. The game will be restarted from the point at which it was suspended, with AB batting in the bottom of the 2nd inning. The makeup date has not yet been set.
