WESTLAND CONITUES DOMINANCE, SWEEPS SEASON, WINS TITLE
Volleyball trophy
The AAC volleyball championship trophy resides at Westland high school.
Unbeaten, untied, unbelievable.

Westland high school completed one of the most dominant seasons in AAC sports history. Led by player of the year Chrystal Ahrenberg, All AAC player Sam Chavez and a strong supporting cast, Westland won all 8 games & every set, not loosing a single match....all season long.

The streak continued through the playoffs and the championship game as Westland beat Maya in straight sets to win it all.

WESTLAND LEADING THE PACK, MAYA GETTING BETTER
With the season coming to the end, it is clear that Westland going undefeated and not dropping a match all season is the front runner. Westlands’ serving weapons dominating there attack keeps them ahead of the other three teams in the league. Maya being the most improved after a shaky beginning.

The girls are beginning to understand the importance of the serve and volley. Premier running thin on players each week is forced to patch together a team to compete. Each week Ocotillo puts together several nice serve/volley showing that it has improved its knowledge of the game and team work. With the tournament approaching each team will be stepping up its game and proving that they will be ready for next season.
