WARRIORS MAKE IT BACK2BACK
The Warriors of the A Division successfully defended their title from last season by soundly defeating the Llaneros 13-6. Four runs posted in the top of the 1st by the Warriors seemed to deflate the Llaneros who were looking to beat the Warrios for the first time in three tries. After five complete innings the Warriors held a nine run lead 11-2. Rafael Aispuro and David Pelayo homered for the Warriors and Amador Herrera and Nelson Vasquez went yard for the Llaneros.

LA DODGERS CAPTURE THEIR FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP
After scoring six runs in the top of 1st the LA Dodgers never looked back hanging on to beat the Cachoros 13-10. Of the three championship games being played this one figured to be the closest. The teams only faced each other once in the regular season and the Dodgers won 4-3. The Cachoros had their chances to rally, but the power pitching of Dodger starter Ramon Rodarte thwarted any comeback. In the bottom of the 1st the Cachoros, having already scored once, loaded the bases with no one out. But Rodarte proceeded to strike out the next three batters keeping the score at 6-1. Rodarte ended up striking out 11 batters including punching out the first six outs. Helped by errors and walks the Cachoros managed to cut the lead to three in the bottom of the eighth, but a couple of close plays at first ended the rally. Lefty reliever Frank Camargo closed out the game and was 4 for 4 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored.

JEREZ CHAMPS ONCE AGAIN
It has been two seasons since Jerez was champions and their 15-6 victory over the Misfits put them back on top. The score was 6-5 Misfits after five complete innings with the help of Misfits shortstop Jimmy Vasquez who hit a two-run homer in the top the of the 2nd to tie the score at 4. The Misfits pushed two more across in the top of the 5th but their lead did not last long. As Jerez scored 10 unanswered runs from the bottom of the 7th on to put the Misfits away. Gabriel Gonzalez came in to relieve for Jerez and shut down the Misfits as his offense poured on the runs. Jerez starting pitcher Jose Mendosa went yard in the ninth.
